SpaceX launches next batch of Starlink satellites

(09 Mar 2022) Rocket: Falcon 9; Payload: 48 Starlink satellites (Starlink 4-10); Date: 9 March 2022, 1345 UTC; Launch site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, USA.

This was the fourth launch and landing of this Falcon 9 first stage booster, which previously launched Arabsat-6A, STP-2, and COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation FM2.

The mission continued SpaceX's weekly launch cadence this year. It was SpaceX's 10th mission of 2022, and came six days after the most recent Starlink mission on 3 March.

The Starlink satellites will extend solar arrays and use on-board ion thrusters to reach their operational orbit at an altitude of 540 kilometers, where they will enter commercial service for SpaceX.
