OneWeb to resume satellite launches through agreement with SpaceX
(21 Mar 2022) OneWeb announced that the company and SpaceX entered into an agreement that will enable OneWeb to resume satellite launches.
The first launch with SpaceX is anticipated in 2022 and will add to OneWeb's total in-orbit constellation that currently stands at 428 satellites, or 66% of the fleet.
Terms of the agreement with SpaceX are confidential. OneWeb did not comment on the existing launch contract with Arianespace.

Editor's note: There were six Soyuz launches left, each carrying 36 OneWeb satellites. A SpaceX Falcon 9 could carry significantly more satellites if the lift-off mass were the only factor. However, it is likely that the existing satellite dispensers from RUAG Space will be used, which only accommodate 36 spacecraft.
